I met with Kayelina Publico back in 2019 down in Atlanta GA. Kayelina only recently started learning about her Native Hawaiian heritage and figuring out how to learn and claim it for herself. This audio was from a lost video interview I had with her, at her home, and she shares about her journey of her family, cultures, and poetry. This a a raw unedited audio form that interview. This interview was a project inspired by Indigenous Peoples Day and the push some states are taking to replace Columbus Day to this day.
